Extensions to a Listed Building (2)

A timber framed house in Essex with later brick built outbuilding lacked any connection with the extensive gardens. In consultation with the conservation officer, a scheme to inhabit the outbuilding was formed, linking to the main house with a curved glazed link. A traditional palette of materials was used; oak and lead, but in a contemporary way.
